Becoming a franchisee is a big decision and a big investment that takes a lot of thoughts and commitment from you and a franchisor. Much like you, we here at Caring don't make these decisions without a lot of careful consideration. We have constructed an in-depth process designed to give you all of the information you need to make your decision, while also allowing us to assess the values, competencies, and skill sets you possess. After 30 years in business, we know what makes a happy and fulfilled Caring Senior Service franchisee.

The 10 steps, in order to learn more about Caring Senior Service and get started on your path to becoming a Caring Senior Service franchise owner, are:

Number 1

Explore Caring opportunity

A Caring team member will quickly acknowledge your web inquiry/phone call and set a convenient phone appointment. We will send you our electronic brochure to provide more information on our home care franchise opportunity. During our first phone appointment, we will work to understand what characteristics you are looking for in a successful home care franchise business. We will talk over your timing, market of interest, working capital, background and interest in helping seniors, families and the communities in which we live.

If we mutually determine Caring is the right fit for you, we will schedule the next convenient phone appointment to explore the opportunity further.

Number 2 

 GET TO KNOW US BETTER

On this next phone call, we will continue our first discussion and review the Caring electronic brochure. We will explain the award process and the importance of our franchise application. We will talk more about the unique Caring franchise approach, our seasoned experience in building a successful home care operations, and the many, many strengths of our system. We will discuss why we are in the business of home care and how we strive to become the new service leader.

We will set the next convenient appointment to continue down the path

 Number 3

ARE YOU THE RIGHT FIT FOR CARING

During this step, we will review your completed franchise application and all relevant data. We will confirm the market area zip codes for your preferred territory and share demographic mapping reports. We will review local market factors you have observed and continue talking about these through the entire exploration process.

At the end of this step, we will be sending you our Franchise Disclosure Document (or FDD for short).

 Number 4

REVIEW OUR FRANCHISE DISCLOSURE DOCUMENT & PRE-DISCOVERY DAY PREPARATION

Before your Discovery Day, we will review ALL of your FDD questions and, if NEEDED, set aside a time while at Discovery Day to review with you.

When ready, you will be invited to attend an upcoming Discovery Day.

Number 5 

ATTEND DISCOVERY DAY AND MUTUAL EVALUATION

For Discovery Day, you will spend an entire day meeting the Caring team (attending dinner the night before if your travel plans allow). You will learn even more about the home care industry and the amazing strengths that show the exciting present and future of Caring. We will review and reconfirm our franchise award process dates. You will meet one-on-one with us at the close of Discovery Day to ensure any questions pertinent to your timing, market, etc. are personally addressed in full.

You will receive a graphic of your desired territory demographics and mapping, reinforcing our discussions.

 Number 6

APPROVAL TO JOIN CARING

Shortly after Discovery Day, we will follow up with a telephone call to answer all of your remaining questions from Discovery Day (including FDD questions). We will confirm your territory and timing as earlier agreed upon. We will confirm together your working capital sources and funding levels are in place to match your timing.

At this end of this stage, we will have mutually agreed that we are a good fit for each other.

Number 7 

FRANCHISE AGREEMENTS AND TIMING FOR TRAINING

Your franchise agreement dates will be coordinated with your schedule via phone or email. You will receive your franchise agreement for final review and electronic signing with a Caring representative present by phone. You will return the signed agreement along with the initial franchise fee. We will share training dates and a projected timeline for next steps (including the signing of the franchise agreement or deposit agreement).

Number 8 

BEGINNING OF YOUR CARING FRANCHISE

Your fully executed agreement will be received at the Caring Support Center. You will receive a welcome call from our CEO. A Caring operations team member will call you to briefly review the Pre-Training Checklist items, set a call for a Training/Operations kick-off to occur within two days to review the checklist, and confirm timing for completion (estimated 45-50 hours). A Training/Operations team member will have an introductory call with you to review your advanced prep work required to attend your training session, and have continual calls to “check-in”. We will follow up with a courtesy call no later than two weeks prior to your training date to confirm your travel arrangements, timing for training week, and ensure that prep work is completed.

We will ensure you’re ready for New Owner Training Week.

Number 9

COMPLETE NEW OWNER TRAINING

When ready, you will complete our New Owner Training and celebrate your earned diploma. During your new owner training, we will begin public relations for your grand opening and confirm all other final pre-opening preparation items have been completed.

New owners training will consist of hands-on, small group training at our Caring Support Center with scheduled training weeks each month. This will be a great opportunity to network and learn with other new owners and managers and establish friendships and mentors to help you grow your Caring business.

OPEN YOUR NEW CARING BUSINESS

At the end of your path to ownership, you will schedule your grand opening. We will ensure a member of the Caring Operations Team is onsite within the first week to 10 days of opening. We will also ensure a follow-up process is in place for field support communications and set weekly calls with you for your first four months of operation (at minimum).
